Sacra Chapel of the Salvador is a beautiful sample of the Spanish Renaissance. The works were executed by the architect Andrés de Vandelvira, from the project of Diego de Siloé, which turned to Vandelvira the architect of everything what it became in the city of Úbeda. The Sacred Chapel of El Salvador was sent to construct by Francisco of the Cobos and Molina, like familiar pantheon. The interior is very similar to the Greater Chapel of the Cathedral of Granada. Of the original greater altarpiece, of Berruguete, conserves only Cristo of the "Transfiguración of Monte Tabor". |
