The Gardens of the Royal Castle (Alcázar)
Address: Plaza del Triunfo, Reales Alcázares.
In the Castle you can contemplate Arab, Renaissance or modern gardens.
Among the Arab types are included the "Gruta" and the
"Galera" alongside the Castle walls. From the Renaissance
we find the Great Garden and the Orange Garden that goes back to the era
of Peter the Cruel, although it was adapted for the weddings of
Emperor Charles V. Lastly, we must mention the new gardens, dressed
with exquisite art.
The Gardens of Catalina de Ribera
From the outside of the Castle surrounding the walls and encircling
the Santa Cruz district we find the Gardens of Catalina de Ribera
whose center has Seville's monument to Columbus.
The Gardens of Murillo
Address: Menéndez y Pelayo.
Same as the Castle types, with a multitude of arches with foliage,
ceramic benches and abundant flora.
Maria Luisa Park
Address: Avda. Portugal - Avda. de la Borbolla.
To begin with it imitated the British-style garden. Later upon
starting the construction of the Ibero American Exposition with its
beautiful Plaza de America and Plaza de España it was renovated
by the French gardener Forestier, around the base of lower gardens,
ponds, variety and tile works.
Garden las Delicias
Address: Paseo de las Delicias
The same style, more in consonance with the Sevillian temperment
transcends to the neighboring gardens of Las Delicias that cover
the area around the dock of the Guadalquivir.
